Patricia Elaine Clark Endowment

The Patricia Elaine Clark Endowment was created in December 2023 to honor a dedicated educator for her decades-long contributions to education and the community. Patricia was an innovative mathematics teacher at Freedom High School in Burke County, an award winning 4-H Volunteer, a director on the board of Black Mt Home for Children & Families, and a moderator for the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International serving in leadership roles in Alpha Nu Chapter and NC DKG. She was a master seamstress, sharing this talent through beautifully crafted business attire and delightful costumes that enhanced her speaking events. Patricia lived a life of giving, serving, and sharing.
This grant is for educators in NC public schools with preference to educators who teach mathematics in grades 9-12. It covers a broad range of possibilities, including continuing education; special certification; conference participation; or collaborative, subject-related enrichment activities fin mathematics. The grant also supports creative teacher-led mathematics projects for grades 9-12 that enhance student learning within the classroom or outside class activities involving mathematics.
Amount: up to $500 Cycle: Fall
