The North Carolina Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation’s purpose is to encourage and support learning and literacy projects enhancing student engagement and to further professional and personal development of NC educators.

Signed Baseball Raffle
Major League Baseball Umpire Joe West grew up in Greenville, NC, graduated from Rose High School and played football at ECU. On May 25, 2021 he broke the MLB record for umpiring games with his 5,376th game. Joe signed a baseball commemorating that day and donated it to the Foundation for a raffle.
Raffle tickets are $5. Chapters can help with this fundraiser by picking up 5 tickets to sell in your area. The signed Baseball will be on display and tickets will be available at the Foundation vendor table. The winning ticket will be drawn on Sept 16. You do not have to be present to win.

An exciting and unique fundraising event for the NC DKG Educational Foundation will be premiered at the state convention in Greenville. This creative opportunity will hopefully spark the interest of chapters and members across the state.

Message in a Bottle: an NCDKGEF Fundraiser
Did you remember to return your “Message in a Bottle” bottles? Bottles were collected at the NC DKG Convention in Greenville. Collected amounts should be sent to the Foundation Treasurer, Betty Marshall, at 1112 Anchor Court, Raleigh, N.C. 27615. Write your bottle number on the check. All donations will help fund grants for NC teachers. The fundraising committee is thankful to all who participated.

Thank you to everyone who participated or donated to the Tee it Up for Teachers golf tournament! Forty-four golfers participated in the foundation's Tee It Up for Teachers Charity Golf Tournament and almost $9000 was raised for teacher grants. Be sure to save the date for next year's tournament on October 7, 2023. See pictures from the event in the photo gallery below.
The Foundation's purpose is timely in response to the decline in state funding for education. We offer grants in continuing education and also literacy and learning projects. In the future, grants for advanced studies and degree programs will be available.
