Message in a Bottle: an NCDKGEF Fundraiser
At the Convention in Asheville, bottles began their journey. The bottles, a project of the NC DKG Educational Foundation, are now traveling all across our state. When you find one…
• Remove the message and begin collecting donations.
• Collect from friends, family, and chapter members. Ask others to support our teachers.
• When the bottle is full, or by April 15th, count the money and send the donation to Betty Marshall, NCDKGEF Treasurer, 1112 Anchor Court, Raleigh, NC 27615. Write your bottle number on the check. All donations will help fund grants for NC teachers.
• Record your name, city and amount on the bottle and then pass it on. The Foundation Fundraising Committee will collect the bottles to see where they have traveled and how much money each one collected.
Keep sharing the bottles! The Foundation hopes they will be returned to the committee at the convention in Greenville, April 28- 30, 2023!

Thank you to everyone who participated or donated to the Tee it Up for Teachers golf tournament! Forty-four golfers participated in the foundation's Tee It Up for Teachers Charity Golf Tournament and almost $9000 was raised for teacher grants. Be sure to save the date for next year's tournament on October 7, 2023. See pictures from the event in the photo gallery below.
The Foundation's purpose is timely in response to the decline in state funding for education. We offer grants in continuing education and also literacy and learning projects. In the future, grants for advanced studies and degree programs will be available.
