Presently, the Media Center Coordinator is borrowing age-appropriate books for use in the library only.

Walking through History: Jamestown through the American Revolution is a project to fund a trip to the Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown in American Revolution Museum for 37 students who have read Blood on the River, Jamestown 1607.

Bring Characters to Life is a project purchase a 3D printer for students to make 3D characters from their literacy lesson. After making the character, students will attach a recording device to be able to interact with the character.

Training and Materials for Adults in the Augustine Literacy Project will provide training for volunteers so that they can tutor students in Caldwell County Schools. This training is not now available in Caldwell County Schools.

Sewing and Needlework Enrichment Club will give 5th and 6th grade students the opportunity to participate in a sewing and hand embroidery club during the school’s weekly “Friday Club” where they will work together to create pieces that reflect the rich history of the textile industry of the area with supplies provided by the grant.
