The Dr. Barbara Day-Dr. Mary M. Cauley Endowed Fund for International Study and Travel through Attendance at Professional Conferences and Conventions The Dr. Barbara Day – Dr. Mary M. Cauley Endowed Fund for International Study and Travel through Attendance at Professional Conferences and Conventions was established June 2022. NC DKG Presidents Dr. Barbara Day (1993-1995) and Dr. Mary Cauley (1999-2001) traveled extensively to international conferences and conventions, attending as speakers and initiators of new chapters and new state organizations abroad. They appreciate the benefits gained from such travel and wish to endorse these life-long learning experiences that no other professional development experience can match in terms of diversity. They are grateful for the many opportunities to serve, learn, and meet new friends and colleagues at the international level. Dr. Day and Dr. Cauley desire for other NC DKG educators to enjoy these experiences and are pleased to help enable that. The Day-Cauley Endowment Grant is designed for NC DKG educators to grow professionally and personally by continuing education experiences through travel and study at the international level. Grant priority is given to NC DKG educators attending a DKG International Conference or Convention abroad. The second priority is for NC DKG educators attending an Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development Conference or Convention abroad. The third priority is for NC educators attending a Kappa Delta Pi International Convention. Dr. Day served as international president of all three of these educational organizations.
